CANOE RENTALS

WEIGHT  vs. THE RENTAL PRICE

Weight is an issue because you have eight km’s of portaging. All of our canoes have deep dish yokes, and all of the portages have frequent canoe rests, but weight still makes quite a difference.

The same 17.5' canoe weighs

70 lbs in Fiberglass

60 lbs in Kevlar

54 lbs in Ultralight

         Time  Fiberglass  Kevlar  Ultralight

1 Day      $ 75      $100      $125

2 day      $115      $140      $165

3 day      $140      $165      $190

4 day      $165      $190      $215

5 day      $185      $210      $253

All rentals are per calendar day (not 24 hrs)

CANOE RENTAL INCLUDES: 2 PFDs with whistles, 2 paddles, bow line, bailer, and a spare paddle for your group, and a throw bag.

A throw bag has buoyant heaving line that is thrown toward a person in the water for them to hold onto while you pull them alongside your boat. The throw bag keeps the rope from getting knotted and makes it easier to throw. it is for emergencies only-it is not to be uncoiled.

ALWAYS EMPTY THE BOAT BEFORE BRINGING IT UP ON SHORE

'Good canoeists always get their feet wet'.

REMEMBER* The easiest way to damage a boat is by dragging it up on shore or loading it on shore.
